IN ADDITION

  • The Chevening Alumni of Malaysia and the Commonwealth Foundation co-organised a Civil Society Consultation on Education on 28 May 2008. The Consultation was organised to obtain inputs for the Stakeholders Forum of the Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers (CCEM) to be held in Kuala Lumpur from June 14-18, 2009. It was attended by 62 representatives of more than 30 civil society organisations.
  • The Chevening Alumni of Malaysia, the British High Commission and the British Council organised a Combined Alumni Social for Chevening Scholars and Commonwealth Scholars on June 18, 2009 in conjunction with Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers (CCEM) held in Kuala Lumpur from June 14-18, 2009.
  • The British High Commissioner and Chevening Alumni of Malaysia President were interviewed for a feature article by the Education section of The Star. The full-page article entitled “Brit Flavour” appeared on October 4, 2009 on page 2.
